ABOUT ME

In my work as the Education Technology Coordinator at The Churchill School and Center I have helped students with a variety of language-based learning disabilities improve their skills, strategies, and master assistive technology. I get so much joy from watching students who struggled with reading and writing grow as learners, take pride in their work, and move on to the next phase in their lives knowing they have the skills to succeed.

I believe technology can be used to help struggling students and should be used purposefully and with the proper training and support. Assistive technology should not be looked at as a silver bullet solution, but rather as another tool in the a student’s belt to help them achieve their goals.

I present at conferences, lead professional development for teachers, work with students one on one and in groups, teach computer science and technology classes, and consult with families to help students find the right technology for their needs.
